01. TYPE OF INSULATION BLOCKS: Block is a masonry unit which when used in its normal aspect exceeds the length or width or height dimensions of a Block. Insulation Blocks are slotted hollow blocks to give higher thermal resistance. It gives three times better heat insulation than normal concrete blocks & two time better heat insulation than clay blocks.

04. COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH: The value of the crushing strengths of ten blocks tested in accordance with the method of test for Precast concrete blocks.
Blocks are tested for compressive strength in accordance with the specification of BS 6073. Table below gives the crushing strength of 10 blocks per consignment of 100 blocks.

05. INSULATION MATERIAL: Insulation used is 14kg/M3 expanded polystyrene sheet, which is inserted inside the cavity of slotted blocks. The insulation gives the heat resistance & isolates the inner and outer wall of blocks.

10” Insulation Block Thermal Resistance R = 2.50 M² °C/W UValue = 0.40 W/M² °C No. of Polystyrene in slot = 4 with 30 mm thickness
